Saving Yourself From Being Overwhelmed

I had 39 items on my to-do list, and the list was hanging on my office door.

It is summer here in London now, as the warm wind blew in, my to-do list swung around on the door. Each time I went in or out of my office, it was like shouting to my face: “Do me! More to do! Do me!! More to do!!”

As I crossed off #21, our house decorators just left (yes our house renovation is still going on), and I looked at the remaining items (biz related, house related, health-care related, family related, education related…)

“Really?” I asked myself, “Honestly, I don’t feel divine/free/limitless/powerful/goddess-like/sacred/wicked/sensual/magical at the moment at all.” Damn it! I was trapped!

I took a deep breath. “It is not as bad as it looks”, I told myself, “Let me pull out this trick”.

This trick has always saved me from being overwhelmed. We all have the ability to do so.

I deliberately slowed down, so that I can stretch time.

Whenever you are in rush to do something, the vital ingredient of Love is missing, while Love actually expands your time and space. When Love is absent, there is no true power.

While you are building your biz, chances are you will encounter new routines, habits and problems, it is too easy to throw yourself off-balance.

If you are overwhelmed, try this.

Slow down. Infuse love and purpose into every sentence you write, every interaction you makes, and every “yes” and “no” you say to people.

Paradoxically, you’ll get your shit done more efficiently than you think.

Here is a cup of Pu Er tea, for you. I got it from Yu Nan province – South China.

Remember that you are doing something so delicious, gorgeous and magnificent for this planet, don’t let the small details disguise the bigger picture.

May you open your heart further today and feel the peace and sanity which is always available to you.
